The Arts
Through movement, sound and image the arts transform people’s creative ideas into expressive works that communicate meaning.
Dance, drama, music and visual arts are integrated into the classroom programme. To complement this and provide further rich experiences in the arts, Huirangi School has numerous special events such as; school wide fancy dress and production evenings, Kapa Haka, creative entries for Pets Day and a Cluster School Cultural Extravaganza. Students can also opt into private guitar lessons with Joe Smithers. Lessons currently take place on Thursdays during school time.
