Kia Ora Koutou, Hello Everyone!

Our Jubilee Weekend was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who provided home baking, helped to tidy up the school grounds, or helped out in many other ways.
The pride I felt as tumuaki/principal over the duration of the weekend was very humbling. Our classrooms all looked amazing, and the comments and feedback we received were overwhelming. It was lovely to listen to stories from past pupils and the care and interest they still have in the success of Huirangi School really impressed me.
Thank you to our Home and School, School Staff and Students and the Jubilee Committee for your tireless efforts! Huirangi School is definitely a wonderful place to be!

As you will be aware, we are striking this Thursday, 16th March. School will be closed for instruction this day. Thank you all for your support and understanding.

Ngā mihi nui,
Natalie Looney
Principal

Senior Swimming Sports

This Friday at 1pm, we welcome you to come along to our Senior School Swimming Sports. This is for all children in Years 4-6, and races will be held at our school pool.
We encourage all students to come to school in their house colours, ready for a day of competition and celebration of the skills they have learnt this year.

Please note that we will not be selecting tamariki to represent Huirangi School at the Cluster Swimming Sports from this event alone. This decision will be made early next week, with input from Sue, our swim coach.

I would like to take thank Todd Energy for funding our Swimming Lessons this year. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to employ a swimming instructor, which is a luxury many schools simply cannot afford.

A huge thank you to Sue Cox, our swim coach. Sue has been an awesome addition to the staff again, and her knowledge and expertise in swimming is next to none. The improvement we have seen schoolwide in confidence and ability has been impressive. Thank you, Sue! We hope to see you at Huirangi School again next year.

Pool Keys

It is now time to return you pool key! Our School Pool will officially close at 3pm this Friday, 17th March.
